Welcoming the newest addition to the Jackall Stable – The Super Squirrel 79 FLAT

Over the past few years we have been creating this new bait. We tested this one alot, we have changed the hardware and its landing very soon!

Barramundi and other predatory fish are known for their aggressiveness but also their occasional wariness, depending on conditions. A flat sided lure can have slightly different action in the water compared to its round counterpart. A flat-sided design gives the lure a more subtle, tight wobble.

This is really effective when barramundi are in a more cautious mood, such as during clear water conditions or when they’re pressured by fishing activity. The flat sides can also help the lure maintain a more stable and consistent action, even in faster currents, which is often the environment barramundi like to inhabit, especially around estuaries, tidal creeks, or mangroves.

Key Benefits of The Squirrel Flat :

Tighter Action: Flat-sided lures produce a subtle, tight wobble, which can mimic the movement of baitfish like mullet, boney bream and herring, which barramundi are known to chase. A more controlled action in the water can trigger barramundi’s predatory instincts.

Versatility: It works well for both slow trolling, casting or jigging, allowing you to adapt to different fishing styles.

Clearer Water: When fishing in clear water, the subtle, tight action of a flat-sided lure can be more effective because it doesn’t spook fish as much as round-bodied lures might.

Better Hook-up Rate: Because the action is tighter and not as erratic, this increases your chances of a solid hook-up, particularly when barramundi are following a lure but hesitate to strike. The controlled movement could get them to commit.

(well for this first shipment anyway, in true Jackall style, we do have a few others coming in the second drop later in the year). As we all know AI is influencing a lot of things.
